"I have been insured by State Farm for 50+ years. My agent retired and Scott took over my account about 3 years ago. I had hail damage on my roof last year and the claim was denied. The adjuster said he saw hail marks but not hail damage. My roofer and an independent adjuster observed extensive hail damage. The SF adjuster was either blind or a liar.
I called and emailed Scott several times. He NEVER called back or emailed a response. Scott, his agency, and State Farm have the worst customer service. DO NOT USE SCOTT MCDOWELL OR STATE FARM INSURANCE.
I had to get an attorney to make State Farm pay a claim for covered damage. An adjuster informed me of an edict from the SF corporate office - Deny and Defend. They can deny 10 legitimate claims and if one or two clients hire attorneys to receive a covered claim, they are still ahead and adding profits to their bottom line. Save yourself some grief and consider Progressive, Allstate, Germania, USAA or anybody but Scott McDowell and State Farm!!!"
